Ever since I can remember, I have been an artist. I was enrolled in private art classes at a very early age, and throughout my life, I have always sought a creative outlet to express the beauty that constantly surrounds me.
I draw my inspiration from our natural world, particularly from the more arcane or overlooked venues. I like to create a harmonious balance between chaos and structure – contrasts that, when placed together, bring out an elegance not seen at the first.
My art derives itself from my many hobbies and interests. It all seems to coalesce into a material object: taken from memories of southern summer days abuzz with insects and heavy with garden scents, of the overwhelming beauty of rocks and crystals, of the moods of sunlight and starlight, of my spiritual being wishing to find form in the tangible.
These desires lead me to create art, in any way the artistic spirit speaks to me and wants to be expressed. I am the conduit from which this energy moves from one form to another.
Each one of us views art from our own perspectives and memories. It is a profoundly personal feeling. It is my hope that my works will speak to the soul of those who stop and take the time to hear their own muse.
